You “know what you need to do” to lose weight but it’s still not working.

You’ve tried every diet, you know what you “should” eat and how you “should” exercise, but you keep ending up in the same place…and you’re tired. Sound familiar? Keep reading.

Successful, long term weight loss isn’t just about what we eat or how much we move. In fact, those are usually byproducts of a bigger picture. It’s about focusing on BEHAVIORS and what works for YOU because “healthy” is different for everyone. That’s what TruWelle is here for - support, accountability, and helping you uncover and access your strengths for sustainable, long term success. TruWelle health coaching evaluates the whole person and helps instill long-lasting change - without calorie counting, food rules, or extreme restriction.

The Diet Cycle

Are You On The Diet Cycle?

Diets can be appealing because they provide structure and rules — they tell you exactly what to do to lose weight, and fast. Trusting your body after years of on/off dieting is scary! There’s even a kind of euphoria that happens when you start a diet. You finally feel like you have things under control again! And this time it will work!

But then a few months go by and you “fall off the wagon.” The diet industry says you failed. But you didn’t fail. Diets actually are NOT designed for longterm success! In fact, 80-95% of dieters gain back AT LEAST what they lost, if not more, within 12 months. They are designed to get you to lose weight FAST (and that’s obviously appealing!)…they don’t say anything about keeping it off. What’s even trickier is that most diets these days disguise themselves as WELLNESS programs, because the word “diet” is becoming taboo (for reason).

Let’s work together to get you off of the diet rollercoaster…and, funny enough, usually getting OFF the diet rollercoaster is what leads to successful long-term weight loss!

What Is Health Coaching?

  • One-on-One Virtual Sessions - Schedule weekly or biweekly depending on your needs and goals.

  • Continuous Support and Accountability - Research shows that accountability and social support are key in achieving wellness goals.

  • Strengths-Focused Approach - It may sound simple, but we often are quick to focus on our weaknesses, rather than our strengths. Coaching hones in on your strengths and how to use those strengths to reach your goals.

  • Goal Setting - 6-month, 3-month, and weekly goals. SMART goals are set weekly (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound). Setting these achievable goals helps gain confidence, feelings of success, and motivation to build on those goals. And those small steps lead to big, sustainable results.

  • App Access - Have access to all your coaching in one portal:

    • 24/7 in-app messaging with Lauren

    • Coaching worksheets and assessments, journals, tracking, scheduling, checklists and so much more.

Meet Your TruWelle Coach, Lauren!

After gaining 50 lbs in 2008 and yo-yo dieting for most of her twenties and early thirties, Lauren knows the mental and emotional struggle that comes with weight gain, weight loss, disordered eating, and extreme dieting. She also knows the freedom of conquering those struggles and has seen (and personally experienced) what it’s like to come out the other side.

Lauren understands the vulnerability and sometimes fear that clients can feel. It’s a big step to let someone into your emotional eating world and she takes that invitation seriously, making it a point to create a judgement-free zone where clients feel safe to explore a very personal and sensitive topic.

With as serious and emotional as this can be, it’s always important to Lauren to maintain a sense of humor with her clients— we just gotta laugh through it sometimes!
